DEBRIS PROCESSING

The Debris Process accepts the cryofractured debris from the separation conveyor that does not contain large amounts of energetics, transports the debris through an induction heating coil for small energetics deactivation, and then discharges the deactivated debris into drums.  These drums (part of the drum and packaging system) can then be sent either to a metals recycler to recover the gold (and possibly palladium) from the electronics or put in landfill.

The system is comprised of the following components:

a)      Separation – The debris discharged from the cryofracture press is passed through a vibratory separation conveyor.

b)      Deactivation – A screw conveyor passing through an induction heating coil transports the ADAM mine cryofracture debris to deactivate any small energetic components.

c)      Drum and Packaging – After passing through the induction heating coil, the fully deactivated material is discharged into drums.
